19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player secured his first title for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has experienced a challenging year, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in particular - led to him exiting of the top ten and finally separating with former trainer his previous coach.
Now training with his coach and Goetzke, he has steadily improved in the past month - culminating in a closely contested three-set win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's first championship after the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt since that period of that year.
Success also means he has secured twenty-one titles at 21 various competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his previous six finals, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
His retrieving strategy and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had caused some to doubt if his skill to perform at the highest level was over.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete positively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
He came back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden professional title, gained dominance to push for a third set.
Moutet saved four early-game opportunities in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, the winner clinched the title with a point at the net area, with Moutet failing to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
